Part of Berton’s Premium Regional mixed Shiraz pack.
Berton Vineyards, Limited, Shiraz, Gundagai, 2016
Slightly briny qualities (smells like a plate of fried school prawns) with bitumen, creosote, plum jam, bluestone. Palate gives a sweeter, fuller, smoother expression with dark black/boysen berry ice cream/vanilla and cracked black pepper spice. There’s infiltrating gritty tannins that sneak through and tie it all together. A surprise packet.
