d’Arenberg The Danger Mouse 2018

Another new release for d’Arenberg: The Danger Mouse….Exciting! Old French oak to let the wine show.

d’Arenberg, The Danger Mouse, Nero d’Avola, McLaren Vale, 2018

Brightly edged purple in the glass. Minerally obsidian stony aroma with mulberry purple and strawberry jam fruit and warming cereal spice. Juicy and sumptuous with gauze-like tannins through the mid body. That minerally note on the nose leads to a steely character on the palate that acts as a spine for the plump fruit and chocolate. Finishing just as juicy as it starts: pair to a parpadelle pasta and a rich tomato sauce.

RRP: $29
Alc: 14.5%
Rating:  17.75/20
