Fruit sourced from the higher climes of the Eden Valley, where cooler temperatures are more beneficial for white grapes.
Jacob’s Creek, Barossa Signature, Chardonnay, 2017
Pale lemon colour in the glass. Light sesame oil with counterpoint of lemon juice (almost dishwashing liquid) citrus. Nutty/woody French oak influences over riper figgy notes with just a touch of sulfide/meringue. Solidly built with a big frame of oak, fig and white stonefruit. Acidity still plays a part to hold tight the reins. Has some level of complexity and interest.
