Sandalford, Estate Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, 2017
Deep garnet hue, almost opaque to the rim. Varietal aromas: blackcurrant and cassis with a bramble leafy lift. Cigar tobacco and turned earth with milk chocolate creamy undertone. Impressively packed, carrying all the weapons: ripe blackcurrant fruit, grainy black tea tannins (if a touch raw) and just underplayed oak finishing with dark ashen shade. Full bodied yet retains elegance.
