Black and boysen berry, blackcurrant with a distinct cherry line dominate the fruit profile with a briny line underscoring fresh cut capsicum, fireplace ash and grated chocolate. A little spiky on the front, the medium-full bodied wine offers plenty of dusty, fine tannins to wrap the berry/cherry fruit. Tannin fiends will enjoy, but the fruit isn’t quite up to the challenge just yet. Perhaps a little more time in bottle for integration.
