Ah, European organic wine…..Meaty depth with an anise tinged dark raspberry fruit. A tinge of ginger root/cola syrup and Turkish Delight to the slick, medium/full bodied palate. There’s a little grip to balance the rich, dark savoury edged fruit with the meaty coda. Simple, but well put together, this is a perfectly fine gateway to the “old world” wines which show a more ‘rustic’ depth to the inherent fruit richness that Australian Grenache can carry.
