Suvla Wines, Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gallipoli Peninsula, 2011
Opened, re-sealed and tasted on the second day. Developing, maturing aromas of rich dried fig and roast pan jus yet maintaining dark couvouture chocolate and syrupy cassis. That syrup transcends though to the full bodied front palate with layers of dried cherries, dried blackberries, blackberry coulis, bittersweet dark chocolate with a final burst of rancio and lingering freshmint lift. Not yet worn out from travels, but not far from needing its final rest.
