A multi vineyard blend from the 40 year old vines on the Stein estate in Mudgee.

Robert Stein, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mudgee, 2017

Blackberry with pippy black cherry, distinct bay leaf, black olive vein. Sweetness comes with grated chocolate and a roasted cauliflower earthiness. Medium bodied with floral red/black fruit lift and a pure bittersweet (early picked parcel?) blackberry flavour. The palate tight, almost constricted, like the way a bramble wraps around its host. Long juicy finish with fine tannin. Ridiculously attractive Cabernet.
