Colmar Estate Block 5 Riesling 2022

Colmar Estate’s Block 5 Riesling is made from a single block on the vineyard high on the Mount Canobolas slopes. Bill Shrapnel, current custodian says  “Although our Riesling blocks, both GM198 clone, only sit 100 metres apart, Block 5 produces Riesling that is lighter and finer than its counterpart.”

Colmar Block 5

Very pale lemon hue. Floral and juicy. A suggestion of quince paste richness underneath lime (kaffir leaf and Tahitian flesh), linen and polished stones. Flesh, drive and energy from a bright rip of acidity. Dry and slaking with a long textural frame and lemony echo. Quality and to be long lived.

RRP: $45
Alc: 12.5%
Rating: 18.75/20 (95/100)
