Colmar Estate may do great things with Riesling, but the cool climate of Orange also allows some very tidy things with Chardonnay.

Attractive nutty oak and grapefruit skin up front. All layers of easy biscuity oak, lemon fruit pip and flint. Expressive and flowing with hints of spiced cheesy creaminess, punctuated with intense regional acidity. Oak toast gives slivered nut effect with tension set to high and a drying, lightly gripping finish. Class and contemplation.
