It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Stockman’s Ridge wine. They were some of the first wines I had reviewed on this site. They’ve now included Grüner Veltliner into the range which seems a natural fit for the cool climate region of Orange, NSW
Stockman’s Ridge, Rider, Grüner Veltliner, Orange, 2022

Pear skin, rocket spice, lemon zest, yellow box honey and a hint of candle wax depth. Bright and fresh with refreshing acidity and a carrying just enough of GV palate weight to give a varietal nod. Neat, and a fine gateway to the GV world.
