Stockman’s Ridge now included Grüner Veltliner into the range which seems a natural fit for the cool climate region of Orange, NSW. This, their Signature Range sees a later harvest for fuller flavours along with maturation in older French oak with lees stirring. Some parcels allowed to go through MLF (malolactic fermentation) to create some creamier tones to this release.
Stockman’s Ridge, Signature Range, Grüner Veltliner, Orange, 2022

Creamy yoghurt tones from the MLF and lees stirring to enrichen brown pear, yellow citrus skin, leafy spice, a little balsa woody nuance and ghee. Textural, rich expression, maintaining crisp regional influence through a medium length finish. Will be a wonderful foil to veal schnitzel or roast suckling pork.
