Opens with opulence of dark chocolate and mocha, blackberry and cassis before savoury hints of olive tapenade, pouch tobacco, warm bread crust, clove stud and fresh grassy turned earth sod. 5 years on and just starting to integrate between the oak and the fruit. Sharp focus on black fruit with tightly knit drying tannin. Creamy cassis and chocolate on the palate with a long, clean tail. Will emerge with elegance from further development.
