A little leaner than previous releases. Still (relatively) budget friendly too. Note, the bottle image is of 2019, but nought else has changed.
Longview Vineyard, Yakka, Shiraz, Adelaide Hills, 2021

True garnet in colour. Crushed cocoa, peppery spice, dark cherry, blackberry and plum, creamy mocha and gunflint. Tight and fine. Wound up and intense. Missing some flesh for the sake of savoury, linear drive. Tannins are hyperfine and fruit is good, just not quite enough of it for immediate enjoyment. Hopefully will unfurl itself a little over time.
