Allegiance Wines, Unity, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2021

Deep garnet to purple. Fathoms deep nose of crushed ant, crushed rose petal, cedar, Christmas cake spice, liqueur chocolates, kirsch, creamy mocha and fresh coffee. Incredibly silky and supple. Flowing and smooth palate with bitter chary oak offsetting dark berry fruit, punctuated by woody spice. Sumptuous and decadent. With just a hint of minty freshness to clean the tail, this is a serious, layered wine that will give plenty over the next 5 years.
