Burton McMahon D’Aloisio’s Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

The D’Aloisio vineyard is located in the township of Seville in the Yarra Valley. The label a partnership of Dylan McMahon of Seville Estate in the Yarra Valley and Matt Burton of Gundog Estate (Hunter Valley and Canberra).

Naturally fermented. Maturation in French oak (30% new) for 10 months. Bottle image is of 2018, but nought else is different.

Pale lemon to straw in colour. Lemon zest, straw bale, exhausted match, mandarin skin, meringue shell, milk coffee to almost mocha, sandy/briny undertone with minerally/stony base. Ripe with juicy rich citrus and white stone fruit balanced with a little phenolic grip and a creamy, savoury tail.
