Burton McMahon, Syme On Yarra Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Yarra Valley, 2022

Medium garnet. Calm nose with perfume of cherries and raspberry. A little crushed thyme herbal influence with smoky, dried meat/biltong nuances over creamy oak, a touch of stalky spice and cedary to vanilla oak. Square boned, supple up front fruit with a meaty, protein richness under the dark cherry fruit. Clean and assertive with rose petal tannins and pomegranate juiciness. A fine, medium length tail gives a pleasing finish.

RRP: $50
Alc: 13.4%
