Regional cassis and mint slice hints over coverture cooking chocolate, torn bay leaf, sweet cigar chomp, cedary oak and campfire ash. Modern focus of fruit to old school tannin. Juicy acid and bright bright fruit. Lovely modern approach to Cabernet Sauvignon. Has an initial palate that breaks into structure like the proverbial peacock tail (sorry Pinot Noir). Dark olive and cassis with long dusty tannins brings Saturn back around. Understated elegance.
