De Bortoli have released this low(ish) alcohol, spritzy red that’s designed to be chilled ready for the summer season. A blend of Tyrian (designed by Australia’s own CSIRO), Shiraz and whatever else it seems was in tank at the time. Cartoonishly and brightly packaged.
De Bortoli,Chill Bill, Red Blend, Riverina, Rutherglen, NV

Deep garnet colour. Tight lacing from the light spritz. Nose of mixed berry compote, mossy earth, blood orange, choc-nut bar and smoked meats. Slick and sweet palate with an easy mousse. Dark berry fruit, hyper fine simple tannins and with a sharp acid cut through the tail. Serve with chocolate based desserts, bacon rolls at breakfast or sticky ribs to cut through richness.
