Cox Family Wines, Pinot Noir, Tumbarumba, 2022

While stated at 13.5%, it ‘s got a few legs that run down the glass over its medium garnet colour. Cherry and raspberry, with some earthy, savoury rhubarb, charcuterie and thyme over milky chocolatey oak. A little char and then orange peel. Medium weight palate with a “bubble gum” confectionary edge to the red cherry and raspberry fruit. Super fine tannin leads into the slightly thin finish. Easy and clean with its dark flavours but missing a little X-Factor.
RRP: $35
