Sourced from Tinkler’s (ex-Lindeman’s) red soiled 1948 block. Made by Matt Burton and the team  to encapsulate the spirit of “Hunter Burgundy” just medium bodied style. 16 months maturation in 100% French oak (25% new). Note, the 2021 is still available from Gundog Estate’s website

Medium garnet to ruby in hue. Showing some signature Turkish Delight choc/rosewater with a strong core of red fruits: raspberry and cherry. A little garam exotic spice, truffle, soft new leather with a kiss of vanilla and char from the oak. As pretty as it is on the nose, the palate offers a darker fruit swathe with earthy and savoury edges. Tension and lightness with hyper supple and silky tannin providing an exquisite experience. Reined in neatly to offer that true Hunter River Burgundy style.
