The 2021 took out the Grenache trophy at the 2022 McLaren Vale Wine show and the Top Gold at the James Halliday Grenache Challenge, both very impressive results, and now this 2022 has made it back to back for both of those awards. Time for another trophy cabinet!

Serafino, Reserve, Grenache, McLaren Vale, 2022

Deep garnet. Lifted and aromatic, with raspberry, cherry, deep plum and ironstone frames. Fragrant purple flowers and plenty of spice. Beautifully shaped and seamless. Bright fruit with the right amount of plushness, balanced with tight and fine tannins. Impeccable length and prolonged intensity of flavour. Leave the bottle, please.
