Little Giant, Shiraz, Barossa, 2022

Deep garnet in colour. A little darkness from the Eden Valley with aromatic spice, meaty char and roast pan jus with heart of dark plum, hints of vanilla and chocolate. Fruit first. Silky and plush, but well layered. A little spiritous with heat, but that’s a bit of the charm, then with a slightly sour, acid tinged clean finish. The tannins are softly drying, like a microfibre gym towel and don’t get in the way. Points for drinkability.
