Part of Flametree’s Sub Regional Series (SRS). Sourced from Karridale in Margaret River, the winemaking sees half the juice fermented (with inoculation) in stainless steel and the other half wild fermented in small and large, new and old French oak.
Flametree, SRS, Sauvignon Blanc, Margaret River, 2022

Pale lemon hue. Hyper fragrant with serious intent. Preserved lemon, blonde oak spice, pink grapefruit, a touch of blackcurrant leaf, dewy grass and a savoury briny quality. Savoury with intense precision and drive. The polar opposite of any sweaty, pungent overt style of SB you automatically think of. Worthy in the conversation of Australia’s best SB.
