Dalrymple, Single Site, Pinot Noir, Swansea, 2021

Mid ruby colour. Fuller than many Tasmanian PN’s: Plush red berry and cherry with plenty of chocolatey oak frame and near baking spice, a little red caramel, chinotto and young rosemary spears all tempered with an almost briny, minerally tone. Medium bodied with drive. Not quite as elegant as some of the more inland Pinot Noirs, with plenty of drying tannins and quite the kick of acid holding and cutting through.
