One of the originals in the extensive d’Arenberg line up. The Custodian has also just tweaked their labelling, bottle image is of the previous iteration.
d’Arenberg, The Custodian, Grenache, McLaren Vale, 2020
Medium garnet to ruby in hue. Plenty of varietal and regional signature on offer for not many dollars. Cherries and raspberries, ‘ink eraser,’ woody kitchen herbs, easy choc-nut bar and deep rose petal heart. Consistent performer, d’Arry tannins tight and fly-screen like underpin that choc-raspberry fruit that persists well through the medium length finish.
RRP: $22
Alc: 14.5%
