Matriarch Leanne De Bortoli challenged the winemaking team (including her daughter Kate Webber, along with Jono Thompson) to come up with a red that could handle both a chill or be served at room temperature. They’ve come up with this zeitgeist (everything old is new again) blend of Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Dual label suggests Chill temperature serving at 10-14º or the No Chill option of 18-20º Celsius.

Medium garnet to ruby hue with a bright edge. Hyper floral and fragrant: cherries, plums and red currant. Plenty of soft, white pepper spice and some Parmesan cheese rind meaty depth and gun flint. Soft, silky and supple palate with very gentle tannin (ready for that summer evening chill.) Licks of bright spice and plenty of easy, but quality fun.
