Made by the Fourth Wave Wine team, with the local Barossa boy Corey Ryan  helping on the tools for this old vine sourced release. Six months maturation in French oak (20% new). Serious packaging for the price.

Inky garnet with an opaque heart. Big nose full of Barossa as it pours: blood plum, chocolate, blackberry jus, blue steak with a little bit of olive tapenade and mocha. Plush, satin palate with an overabundance of plum and peppery spice. There’s still structure and rigour, and despite a little alcohol heat, it doesn’t fall flat on its face. Lingering rose petals, chocolate and char through a surprisingly clean finish of fine, sandy tannins. Make no mistake, this is one for the hedonists but offers plenty of value.
