Angullong, Fossil Hill, Sangiovese, Orange, 2022

Medium ruby-garnet colour. Violets and blue fruits with a meaty, chunky base (like decent rosemary spiked pie) all sprinkled with tomato leaf, dried herbs, a hint of pencil, and steeped cherries. Just medium bodied with a heart blue to purple fruit. Tacky, drying tannin over a savoury, leathery base with a thrust of acidity to sharpen the focus through the tail. Going to be a fine pair to toothsome parpadelle with ragu.
