Colmar Estate, Block 3, Pinot Noir, Orange, 2022

Medium ruby hue. Pretty nose of stalky strawberry jam, white pepper and orange flesh with a touch of meaty funk, dust, dried rose petals, coffee grounds and choc buttons. Structural and angular. Lots of elbows and knees for the moment, but suppleness just around the corner. High toned and taut. Super fine tannin structure like a long hallway runner under the red fruit and dried herbs. Persistent length to the palate with that herbal left carrying long. Perhaps just a little more time to develop, else serve up with Chinese BBQ Duck!
