Everybody in the wine game knows that Riesling is obscene value in Australia. Here Howard Park have done the medium term cellaring for you…and for the same price as the current release.
Howard Park, Museum Release, Riesling, Mount Barker, 2018
Lovely colour, with just a hint of gold through the pale straw yellow hue. Floral, fruit-full and layered. The development showing with a richness of honey, stone fruit, lanolin and wax paper over still primary citrus lemon and lime with native blossom echoes. Texture and presence with fine phenolics and acidity that is still bright and even. A stony seriousness underpins the developing smoothness. The finish of rich citrus echoes long. Beautiful now and for the next few years.
