Tenafeate Creek is based in One Tree Hill, just out of greater Adelaide and sits at the edges of the North West corner of the Adelaide Hills and the South West corner of the Barossa and fits into the Mount Lofty Ranges GI. Note, bottle image is of 2014, but nought other changes.

Tenafeate Creek, Montepulciano, Mt Lofty Ranges, 2022

Deep purple with a bright rim. Softly chary with meaty burnt end nuance, big chunky plum and dark cherry conserve, blueberry, dried kitchen herbs and earthy, savoury touches of licorice, iodine and ink. Good length and balance. Fleshy plum, cherry fruit before a spread of waxy and coating tannins, with savoury herb halo. Some inherent char and meatiness cleansed with pleasant freshness.
