Bottled under (a very good) cork. Winemaker is the experienced Kevin Glastonbury.
Yalumba, The Signature, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Barossa, 2021

Serene and serious. Like an age waiting to pass. Layered with cocoa powder, plum flesh, sharp tangs of licorice, formic acid, violets, blackcurrant, kirsch, pink and black peppercorns, kisses of sweet cedar and black fresh earth. Effortless flow and structure. Alive fruit emboldened with ripe and elegant tannins. Overarching chocolatey and vanilla tinged oak is a delicious wrapper with seams of earth, graphite and licorice. Balanced, nuanced, considered and utterly delicious. Let anyone taste this and declare it anachronistic.
