Taylors St Andrews Riesling 2020

A developing release from Taylors, just ticking over the 4 year mark (and priced the same as the current 2024 release) so it could be classified as ‘museum stock’ or a ‘cellar release’ but with the screw cap seal, these wines will carry long.

Taylors, St Andrews, Riesling, Clare Valley, 2020

TaylorsStAndrews-Riesling

A touch of straw to the pale colour. The vintage is showing through a little with a developing nose. The intensity of green lime heading to mature, almost browning. Some fresh cardboard box, viscous beeswax, flint, fly spray, sweet brown spice and crushed chalk. The palate showing some development also with a richness through the palate. Bittersweet citrus remains potent and the acidity is still intense and driving. The chalky finish starting to calm and integrate. Hitting the drinking window now.

RRP: $45
