Fruit from M&B/Howard Park’s Great Southern vineyard Mount Barrow. Handpicked fruit, natural ferment in French oak barriques, hogsheads and puncheons (40% new, 30% 1 year old, 30% older). Stirred weekly until dry then settled on lees in barrel and tank with some parcels going through malolactic fermentation.

Medium light straw with green/gold highlights. Crackling flint and mineral, water cracker, sliced white stone fruit, soft smoky and vanilla barrel notes with mealy influence. Mineral water pristine and bitter-sweet citrus lines. Focus and tension ring crystal clear across the palate. Lingering phenolic grip adds drama and weight to exceptional layers of class and elegance. An absolutely stunning Chardonnay.
