One of the many imports from the Fourth Wave Wine. From the isle of Sicily and made for bistro and restaurant settings.
Galante, Pinot Grigio, IGT Terre Siciliane , 2023

Nose of soft pear flesh, crushed salt rocks, salted caramel, sage, melting butter, grilled melon and frozen green grapes. Dry and a little briny. With old pear skin, leather and kitchen pantry tones (spices, salt, herbs and cardboard packaging). There’s a touch of Grigio’s waxy nature before an acid drive that may surprise a few people. Does what it needs to do and will be a perfect match for a seafood mixed platter or creamy prawn or salmon pasta.
RRP: Should be around $12 per glass or $40 per bottle in a restaurant.
Alc: 12%
Rating: 86/100
