Funky, just skinsy field blend from the Chaffey Bros boys. Field blend of Semillon, Riesling, Kerner, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer from the Fechner Vineyard in the north of Eden Valley. Wild ferment. Un-flitered and un-fined. Only 200 dozen made (still available at time of writing).

Has that yoghurt, creamy and nutty wild ferment nose before opening up with lemon zest, musk kisses, pear juice, candle wax, wet dough, chalk, ginger biscuit and lemon cordial syrup. Sharp skinsy tang with salty, textural presence. Acid is juicy and the palate bone dry: almost doing that dichotomous thing of being both refreshing and thirst inducing. It’s not meant to be a thinker, just made to drink when the weather is a hot stinker.
