Part of Flametree’s Sub Regional Series (SRS). Sourced from Karridale in Margaret River. Winemaking the same as previous vintages, with half the juice fermented (inoculated with VL3 yeast) in stainless steel and the other half wild fermented in second use Bordeaux oak barrels.
Flametree, SRS, Sauvignon Blanc, Margaret River, 2024

Very pale in colour. Fragrant lychee, gooseberry and guava fruit nose, well supported by light spring green grass tones, green apple slices, lemongrass, meringue, nori butter, herby dill and light cashew nut. Layered, complex, taut and holding firm intensity. There’s a richness and texture from the lees and barrel work that feels highly satisfying on the palate. Fruit is squeaky clean and precise without being pungent or overt, redolent of those apple slices and bittersweet citrus. Long length of flavour. Another stellar release from Cliff Royle and the Flametree team.
