Angullong, Crossing Reserve, Harriet, Orange, 2023
Medium garnet in colour. Kitchen garden herbs, raspberry coulis, red fruit tea, sliced fennel, cherry jam, hibiscus and a little bluestone. Grippy and expected tannins from the trio, punctuated with sharp acidity. All structure and texture for the moment, there’s lingering red/black fruit with tart herbaceous tones that will flesh out in the medium term. Cuts through a roasted lamb shoulder with ease.
