First Ridge present their Alira Prosecco in a screw cap bottle, negating the need for a stopper if you’re not planning on finishing the bottle (with friends). Well regarded local James Manners is winemaker.

Light and bright colour with plenty of tiny, tight bubbles. Spring flowers, green apple and pear slices, chalk and lemony citrus. Crisp, dry and with a little more body than expected, giving weight to food matching credentials. Acidity is racy with a biting finish.
