A change up in the oak sees the wine spending 9 months in old (4+ years) French oak hogsheads.
Taylors, Jaraman, Grenache, McLaren Vale, 2021

Medium garnet with a slightly clearish rim. Strawberry and raspberry jam, pink chalk, pink salt, graphite, touches of marshmallow and musk, mint and dried kitchen herbs, young kid skin leather, choc/nut and red licorice. Medium-full frame with a fine tail. There’s a tackiness to the tannins as they wrap around bright red centred fruit. The wine holds a weight to it, with heft and brawn that lends itself to a little chunkiness before that crispness and spice roll in through the finish.
