A blend of Clare Valley 65% + McLaren Vale 35%. Maturation in American oak hogsheads (combination of new and older oak) for an average of 12 – 15 months.

Deep garnet hue. Fleshy blood plum, dark berries, Dutch licorice and sweet oak vanilla kisses. Savoury herb notes with hints of tobacco and char. Medium frame. The balance of juicy Vale fruit and earthy Clare works well. There’s plenty of plum and purple berry flesh moderated with tight tannins and a good amount of cutting acidity. Lingering dark chocolate leaves a pleasant bitterness through the tail. Taylors recommend matching to char-grilled harissa lamb chops
