Longview’s Vino Novello in new livery. No longer a blend as per previous releases, Longview have moved to 100% Nebbiolo.

just strawberry jam in hue, cherries, amaro herbs, some playground flooring, a little caramel, dried strawberries and ginger spice. Ultimately a cool nose. Juicy and fresh, yet lithe with a raft of Nebbiolo’s sinewy tannins as frame. Still enjoyable, just missing the upfront and mid-palate plumpness of previous blend releases, as the tail slices and buzzes with young acid.
