Underrated style from central Victoria and created for the 100 Year Anniversary of the Purbrick family being Tahbilk’s custodians.
Tahbilk, Centennial, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nagambie Lakes, 2015
Medium garnet with a hint of red brick at the rim. Cassis, turned earth, crushed bay, brewed black tea, easter egg chocolate, mint leaf, eucalypt branch, pouch tobacco and still wrapped with vanilla oak. Rugged tannins cling to a smooth cassis fruit profile giving a pleasurable yin/yang effect with interplay between the layers. Plenty of length through the pronounced and concentrated tail.
