Handpicked Wines, Collection Series, Pinot Noir, Tasmania, 2023

Earth and truffle, deep cherry flesh to maraschino, cherry wood, some initial raw-ish oak leading to a hint of vanilla, potpourri and dried rose, flinty sulphides, roast ham, toasted spices and a citrus orange smear. Just medium weight with a hint of that rawness coming through in youthful vigour. Red currant to cherry juice fruit. The tannin profile fine and tight, while the regional acidity is bright and plentiful.
