Bethany East Grounds Shiraz 2021

The longstanding custodians of Bethany, the Schrapel family are now involved in management and guidance. Fruit sourced from a single vineyard located at 280-300m above sea level. Winemaking sees the wine matured in French oak hogsheads (33% new) for 18- 20 months. Alex MacClelland is the winemaker. Bottle image shows previous release. The wine is under a Bethany Blue screw cap and collar.

Bethany, East Grounds, Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 2021

Medium garnet to ruby. ‘Cherry Ripe’, crushed ant/formic acid, rose heart, vanilla bean, baking spices and nutmeg, boysenberry ripple, spent coffee grounds and lavender. Vibrant and full with young oak giving thoughtful, balanced frame. Great length with slinky tannins and clean tail. An elegant BV Shiraz.
