Nautilus, Clay Hills Vineyard, Pinot Noir, Marlborough, 2020
Attractive floral, bright cherry and raspberry, Danish pastry, soft fallen leaf matter, pomegranate, savoury spice, touches of cooked bacon, chocolate wafer and peeled orange. Silky and flowing with a carpet of flowing tannins giving elegance to ripe, sapid cherry fruit. There’s spice and crunch from some whole bunch influence and plenty of length. Well made.
