Russell & Suitor, Ladera, Pinot Noir, Tasmania, 2024

Medium garnet. Warm brown spices, plum jam, blackberry jam, vanilla oak, rosewater and thyme leaf. Tart and mid weight. Red cherry fruit with burnt orange, vanilla and chocolately oak. Mid palate is smooth and knitted in, providing a plush ride before a chary and herbed finish. The tannins close tacky short. Missing some complexity and elegance for the price point.
