Tyrrell’s, Vat 9, Shiraz, Hunter Valley, 2023
Deep, bright ruby hue. Opens calm, dusty and reserved with ripe plum, blackberry, dried herb mix, soft mocha and dried meats. Forget any suggestion of dryness or dustiness on the palate: Impeccably supple and sewn together without a seam in sight. Brightly built, steps neatly through its medium weight and sublime structure. The Tyrrell’s have achieved have unlocked a cheat code with this wine being incredible now, but not shifting in a dozen cellar years.
