Charles Reuben Estate, Pinot Noir, Tasmania, 2023
Medium garnet hue. Varietal nose with dried strawberry, ripe dark cherries, herbal thyme and some sweetness/charyness of oak and orange zest. Savoury and twiggy: with tart cherry flesh, smoked meats, umami richness and regional acidity. It’s definitely Pinot Noir in the dark spectrum, but lacking a little complexity.
